Our Client’s Data
Data protection is a very serious business and we understand the reluctance to allow your companies records, designs or contacts to be stored at a third parties premises whilst repairs are carried out and admit we do have clients who send in their repairs minus the storage devices. Failure to protect a client’s data would entail losses to our company of many sanitizing contracts.  We can only re-a-firm our commitment to protecting your privacy.

YEMTEC has been repairing laptops and PCs for many years that contain sensitive data. We are committed to keeping intact our 100% record to date of non disclosure.

Data Gathered in our Website
YEMTEC does not disclose information gained by visitations to our site to third parties, except to verify claims for repair under warranty if applicable.  Email addresses are never disclosed to third parties under any circumstances.

Information provided to us, whether it be business or personal cannot be viewed by any third party including address, phone numbers or repair values.  

When linked to our site via a third party it should be noted that we have no control over their privacy policy and cannot be held responsible for their integrity.

Our website is not intended for children and we ask that no-one under the age of 12 submits personal information to us or uses the site without supervision of a parent or guardian.

 

What Information do we need?

We may during registration process, ask for personal information which both identifies you and enables us to communicate with you.  We may invite you to tell us your interests so that we can make our communications relevant and interesting for you.

Our site uses forms that simplify requests for information on services, system upgrades or to request assistance in connection with a repair. Contact information collected is essential in order to establish two way contact between our selves and the client in order to respond to requests for assistance and process any subsequent repair or upgrade. Information gathered is stored on our internal server with pass worded access only by relevant in-house departments.

To receive subsequent email product and service updates from YEMTEC  visitors have to elect to join the YEMTEC  Opt program. Membership of the Opt Program is voluntary and on an opt-in basis only.

Why do we gather Information for?

We will use the information you provide only for the following purposes:

  • To send you newsletters and details of offers and promotions in which we believe you will be interested

Do you need to register?

This policy covers all users who register to use our website. It is not necessary to register in order to gain access to the searching facilities of the site, but we may restrict access to certain areas. Access to our website is free of charge to all users.

Credit Reference Check
To help us prevent fraud, please be aware that we may make searches about you at credit reference agencies for the purpose of verifying your identity. These agencies will supply us with information, including information from the Electoral Register. The fact that we have requested an identity check is recorded by these agencies though be assured that the searches will not be seen, or used by lenders to assess your ability to obtain credit for example.

This privacy policy only covers our websites. Other links within our websites to other websites or framed third party sites are not covered by this policy. We may continue to use your personal information for a period after you cease being a registered user.

Account Administration Service
We will be providing an administration service (your account) where you can review your personal information at any time to ensure it is correct and current. You will be able to update, correct, change or delete inaccurate details. You may also change your choice of opting in or out of marketing and promotional activities, although you may continue to receive mailings for a short period while your change is being processed.

We are unable to delete your account information containing your personal information for a period of 6 years from the date of your last interaction with us (this could be a sales transaction, a return, or some other interaction with us via our Customer Services team or our website).  This is because we may need to access historical information for business reporting purposes.  Please note however, that at any point in time you may opt in or out of marketing communications of this website.
